Today a American Airlines jet took off from Laguardia Airport with Charlotte, NC as its destination and ex pierced a problem (a flock of geese were sucked into the turbines) 3 minutes into the flight which caused the pilot to crash into the Hudson River at around 50th Street. 150 passengers and 5 crew members were all safely evacuated after several hours of harrowing rescue attempts by the brave members of the NYPD, FDNY, and Coast Guard, and the Circle Line Ferries. Mad props given to the pilot - who knew he lacked altitude to turn around- but he brought it down for a relatively controlled descent without any loss of life.In other news, some dude that I swore could have been Jeremy Piven was on that plane. False alarm.
