Film Of the Month: "Taken"

"Taken", starring Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace, and Famke Jenssen, follows an ex-CIA agent who is faced with recovering his daughter after she is kidnapped by human trafficking/sex-traffickers in Paris, France.
Liam, one of my most respected actors, hasn't been in the limelight recently. he had a credited role in "Batman Begins". Going a little further back his only big film in the last years with Love Actually, Kinsey, and the Gangs of New York. Obviously, his most famous film Schindler's List, was the breadwinner earning him several Oscar nominations.

He stuns the audience in this new thriller with a raw and unabridged glimpse into a graphic world of human trafficking, drug abuse, and violence. Fight Choreography is some of the best yet simply done I have witnessed recently. There's no showy Hollywood moves just simple unbridled hatred for Albanian slavers and their associates. Torture, extortion, and even shooting an unarmed woman/old acquittance's isn't off the table either.

This movie didn't fail to amaze me of the fact the Liam Neeson is an outstanding actor because of his ability to transcend from a serious character to a "shoot first, ask questions later" attitude in the blink of an eye. And all the while doing with that hint of an Irish brogue and self evident sophistication that exceeds many of his peers in Hollywood. Most definitely a film you want to partake in.
