Ex-Wilco Member Dead at 45

The man that helped write and produce so many great Wilco albums with Jeff Tweedy is dead. Anyone who has seen the documentary I am Trying to Break Your Heart witnessed Jay Bennett's genius and his insanity. He was kicked out of the band shortly after Yankee Hotel Foxtrot was recorded. Bennett, age 45, was found dead in his sleep last night. He was a songwriter, lyricist and producer. On his relationship with Tweedy Bennett once said "We would write songs, talk about plans or emotions or share things. We had similar emotional issues, psychological issues, the anxiety attacks. We helped each other and learned from each other.”
